Job Description:

LVN / LPN needed for 6 bed Mental Health Residential Facility.

La Ventana Treatment Programs seeks an LVN or LPN for our Residential 6 bed mental health facility located in Thousand Oaks. This is a sub-acute residential facility treating men and women with mental health issues such as trauma, depression, anxiety, sexual abuse, bipolar, domestic violence etc.

AMFT & ACSW Wanted for Mental Health Residential and Outpatient Facilities

Statement of Purpose:

The therapist and social worker (AMFT, ACSW) works with the client population by performing individual, couple/family and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management. AMFTs and ACSWs receive supervision from the Clinical Program Manager, the Chief Clinical Officer, and the President. They report directly to the Clinical Director. AMFTs and ACSWs do not supervise any employee.

Major Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of psychotherapy.
  • Clinical caseload of clients.
  • Completes all clinical charting/record for assigned caseload, including all pertinent assessments, observations, and clinical issues.
  • Conduct assessments of clients at the time of admission and re-assessments as required.
  • Provide appropriate diagnoses and complete treatment plans based on a review of the client’s history, signs, and symptoms.
  • Provide individual, couple/family, and group psychotherapy as needed.
  • Ability to demonstrate respect for cultural and lifestyle diversities of clients and staff.
  • Crisis intervention services, including contacting Psychiatric Emergency Teams (PET) and reporting child abuse and/or dependent/adult abuse.
  • Develop and implement individual treatment plans, measurable goals, interventions, family participation, and client’s goals for self.
  • Monitor client’s response to treatment and modify plans accordingly.
  • Participation in weekly treatment team meetings.
  • Provide Utilizations Reviews as required.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and current legal standards pertaining to professional practice, reporting requirements, professional boundaries, and related issues.
  • Ability to supervise associates if needed.
  • General knowledge of the philosophy and approach to treating mental illness and behavioral health.
  • Adheres to all Joint Commission and Community Care Licensing regulations and guidelines, as per the policies and procedures governing the facility.
  • Any additional duties affecting the position requested by Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Following are the qualifications required to perform the essential functions of this position. Qualifications may be subject to modification based on the Americans with Disabilities Act.

  • Experience and/or training preferred in the behavioral healthcare field and Mental Health field.
  • Licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an LCSW, LMFT, AMFT, MSW, or by the Board of Psychology as a licensed Psychologist. License must be current and valid.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have valid First Aid card
  • CPR accredited
  • Criminal Record Clearance or Exemption
  • Positive Health Screening showing ability to work
  • Specific qualifications may vary based on assignment.
  • TB test within 90 days prior to employment and annual test taken

Core Competencies:

  • Ability to create a treatment plan for clients
  • Ability to chart efficiently in client’s medical record
  • Ability to do assessments for potential new clients.

Mental Health Client Support Staff for Residential Facilities

Job Description:

La Ventana Treatment Programs is a privately owned behavioral healthcare facility treating patients in Thousand Oaks for over 13 years. We are currently seeking Mental Health Resident Advisor Support staff for our 6 bed Residential Mental Health facilities.

This is a sub acute residential facility treating men and women suffering from mental illness such as depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar and other mental health emotional issues.

Applicant will have direct care duties with the patients from daily living observation to assisting with breakfast and auditing charts and medication.

Live Scan Fingerprint background check is also performed on all employees working at the Residential Facilities.

La Ventana offers training in mental health to our employees to assist them in understanding the disease as well as how to interact with patients and provide a safe environment for both patients and employees.
